Home School Association meetings provide parents with opportunities to interact with other parents, our pastor, and school personnel as well as learn important information regarding the school, the HSA, the diocese and other sources. The principal and pastor are available at meetings to answer parents’ questions regarding HSA sponsored activities, fundraising efforts, and update the members on school activities. Home School Association meetings are held the second Thursday of September, October, November, January, March and May. Meeting announcements with details are included in the “Wednesday envelope” and on the school website. We will also send out a group email a few days prior to the meeting as a reminder. Babysitting is available during the meeting.
The Home School Association sponsors and/or assists with many special activities at the school including; Teacher Appreciation Luncheons, Family Bingo Night, Thanksgiving Feast, Pancake Breakfast , the St. Joseph’s Table, Sunday Fun Day, and the Voyager Fitness Challenge.
One of the obligations of the HSA is to support and encourage involvement in the special events and projects that help raise funds to meet our annual financial obligation of $25,000 to the parish. To keep the fund-raising to a minimum, we have three activities the entire school participates in to help us meet this need. They are the Vegas Night, the Theme Basket Raffle and the “600 Club” Raffle. We also have an ongoing Scripts program and online magazine sale that we invite parents to utilize.
